Thanks to GM crops, industrial farmers now use 5, 000, 000, 000 pounds of pesticides per year in the U.S. (that's right--5 billion pounds in a year!!!). No wonder the chemical companies don't want you to know about this study: "A Simple Fix for Farming".
"It's becoming clear that we can grow all the food we need, and
profitably, with far fewer chemicals. And I’m not talking about imposing
some utopian vision of small organic farms on the world. Conventional
agriculture can shed much of its chemical use — if it wants to."
But first you have to know about it. And guess who doesn't want that to happen?
